PEASSA aims to build a strong community among majors and minors in the East Asian Languages and Civilizations, the East Asian Area Studies programs, and other interested students at the University of Pennsylvania. Our primary goal is to provide mutual support for students through a strong support network, sharing of knowledge and experience, spreading awareness of programs and other career-related opportunities, and welcoming of prospective majors and minors. We thank the East Asian Languages and Civilization Department, the Center for East Asian Studies, and the EALC Graduate Student Research Composium at the University of Pennsylvania for being an integral part in helping establish our student organization.
